Experience the Kimberley’s National and World Heritage listed parks, its dramatic and beautiful landscapes, pristine beaches, ancient gorges, waterfalls, and rugged outback. Start in Kununurra, the launching point for Purnululu National Park (also known as the Bungle Bungles) and arguably Australia’s most renowned station stay, El Questro. Venture west on the famed Gibb River Road, either by 4WD or on a tour, experiencing outback stations, red dust highways and remote gorges and watering holes. Marvel at the natural phenomena of both Mitchell Falls and Horizontal Falls. Finally, arrive at the jewel in the Kimberley crown, Broome. While away your days on Cable Beach, explore the vibrant history of the town centre and experience a sunset like no other. If you have more time, why not head up to remote Cape Leveque for a few days to enjoy the pristine, rugged wilderness.
Accommodation we recommend includes an all-inclusive lodge, glamping tents, old pearlers shacks and a resort on Cable Beach.
Travel is best done by hiring a 4WD, or joining a small-group tour.
Around two weeks is recommended in the Kimberley.
